We had a wonderful time at the Byrd's Nest at the Lookout. The community was lovely with great amenities and access to town. The house had everything you could need, plus great spaces for our family of five to relax. Highly recommend!

The home was perfect and the Lookout was beautiful, as always. The grounds are lovely and the staff is always very polite and quick to assist. The only complaint I would have was the construction right next door. I understand it can't be helped but they had their little trailer parked right in front of our house. The workers started very early and were loud for people on a vacation. I think the trailer could have been parked across the street or even a little more down the road so it wasn't in front out our porch. Again, I understand that construction is necessary but it would have been nice to have a heads up. When we first arrived at the house the sounds of their voices were so loud that I thought they were inside the home! Other than that, I have zero complaints. We love The Lookout and I'm so happy it's become a traditional part of our summer.

The Byrd's nest is a beautiful home that is very well appointed and decorated. The inside of the home was spotless and we enjoyed spending time inside and enjoyed one good day of views on the porch. Starting on Monday morning at 6:45 am heavy construction vehicles rode in and construction on 4 sides of the house continued for 12.5 hours a day every day. The house literally shook and the noise wad incredibly loud. So much dust and dirt was kicked up that we could spend no time outside on the porch until it was dark and they were gone. We were unable to use the BBQ because it was covered in dirt and so much dust was in the air. I was expecting some noise, but nothing to this extent. It was pretty unbearable and not the relaxing environment we were hoping for. I would not come back until construction is finished and would not recommend it to a friend.

We love coming here and it’s become a family tradition that my children look forward to. My only small complaint was with the the ants in the house . They were on the kitchen counter near the sink and it was incredibly unappetizing to prepare food near them.
