Cute house but very noisy construction
Reviewed on 2022-08-02 by , KIRKLAND, WA United StatesThe house is great and very well supplied. No issues with that. But, the construction going on now really impeded our ability to enjoy the house. We knew about the construction behind, but while we were there, they were tearing up the lot in front and it was non-stop construction (literally - 8am until nearly 9pm one night!!) of excavators digging and backing up, making it impossible to sit outside and enjoy the fire table and seating area both in front and in the back. We had to stay inside with all the windows and doors closed.

Chances R is BEST rental stay ever!

I was a little worried that the home would be too small but was so impressed with the perfect use of space. I had the opportunity to see many other homes in The Lookout while there, as there were several of us staying for my niece's wedding. Although most were larger, none of them were as beautiful as where we stayed, at Chances R. The indoor and outdoor flow was amazing. Thank you to the homeowners for sharing this exceptional place! We will definitely be back!!!

Chances R is a perfectly home is perfect for a small group of guests to stay for any sort of family events. Chances R is located next to the vineyard pool that is heated and is just footsteps away! This home also has a Nana Wall that no other Vineyard Cottage has and has a perfect view of the pool and hot tub. No better place to stay than in this beautifully decorated & impeccably clean vacation home. Thank you for creating such a space for our perfect weekend! We enjoyed music by the poolside while sipping the wine you provided. Had a great time visiting various wineries & scenic walks around the area as well. Hope to return soon:)

It is worth mentioning that there is construction happening on new cottages just off the back patio. This is noted in the rental description, but it feels worth mentioning that if you're looking for a quiet or private stay this work may interfere with that until they're done. However, the owners have done a good job with Chances R and these cottages are exceptional in terms of use of space. A suggestion for the owners: there is a lot of great tech in this house (Sonos, remotes for the lights, remotes for the bedroom blinds) we figured a lot of it out as we went along, but some we couldn't, a detailed owners manual would be a help.

Chances R you are going to love staying at this cottage located in the Vineyard District. The Vineyard District has a “resort-style” feel with its unique setting that includes a year-round heated pool, extra-large hot tub, and a splash pad so that you can relax, swim and enjoy the sun just steps from Chances R.
Among the many features at Chances R is a fifteen-foot-wide NanaWall that no other Vineyard Cottage has. The wall completely opens up to the north-facing back deck and patio that overlooks the pool and hot tub. This is a great place for morning coffee and provides a shady place in the heat of the day.
On the back deck, there are two 5,000W Infratech IR heaters that provide the perfect amount of heat for those cool evenings extending the outdoor living well into fall, even with the wall open. Just off of the deck is a paver patio that has a gas fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs.
Enjoy an evening with the NanaWall open, and have the deck heaters on, while listening to music and enjoying a glass of wine.
The front patio which faces south has full sun and a partial view of Lake Chelan. This patio also has a fire pit as well as patio furniture with seating for eight. This is a great place to be while grilling, people-watching, and enjoying the sunset.
The kitchen/dining area is very functional and well-appointed. The dining table is counter height adding extra meal prep and/or buffet-style service areas. There is a double-drawer dishwasher and the refrigerator has two ice makers for ample ice for your drinks. In the pantry, you will find cookware, mixing/serving bowls, food storage containers, etc. The full-size front-load high-capacity washer and dryer are also located in the pantry. Above the refrigerator are a pressure cooker and blender.
The living room is very comfortable with two leather swivel chairs, a sofa, and an electric fireplace to add ambiance. The 75” 4K Smart TV is mounted on a swivel base making it great for watching movies and football games.
Upstairs has two large bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms one of which has a bathtub, great for younger kids especially after a day at the beach! Both rooms have smart TVs with SONOS sound bars.
Pets are unfortunately not allowed, though the owners do occasionally host their hypoallergenic dog onsite.
As the name implies, Chances R you are going to; have an incredible time, go wine tasting, boating, swimming in the lake, enjoy the heated pool, go skiing, hiking, mountain biking, sit by the fire, have a beer or two, well you get the ! Chances R is a special place!
